On June 14, 2012, members of CYSO's Symphony Orchestra embarked on a ten day tour of the Spanish cities of Madrid, Cuenca, Valencia and Barcelona. During the tour, the Symphony Orchestra performed four concerts in some of Spain’s most prestigious concert halls and a music festival. It was another successful international tour!
In addition to performing at world class venues, CYSO students had the opportunity to participate in a variety of cultural activities and exchanges designed to educate them about the history, culture and customs of Spain. Students took guided tours of each city, including visits to historical buildings, neighborhoods and museums. And, while in Cuenca, Symphony Orchestra students played a joint concert with their Spanish counterparts in the
Joven Orquesta de la Mancha.
