Debut Orchestra violinist AidanSinclair Daniels recently played a concert for a very special audience– the First Lady of the United States! AidenSinclair is part of Perfect Fourth String Quartet, which played at the White House on November 15 the celebrate Sphinx Organization’s 2016 National Arts and Humanities Youth Program Award, the nation’s highest honor for creative youth development programs.
Sphinx is a Detroit-based national social justice and arts organization that addresses the under-representation of people of color in classical music by offering education programs, scholarships, and leadership programs to young musicians of color.

Many CYSO students have participated in Sphinx programs over the years, including Symphony Orchestra cellist Alexis Johnson, who received an artist grant last spring.
