Three CYSO Students Accepted into NYO & NYO2

Three CYSO students were recently selected for Carnegie Hall’s National Youth Orchestra of the United States and its sister program, NYO2.
Congratulations to Symphony Orchestra oboist Oliver Talukder, who was accepted to the National Youth Orchestra. This July, Oliver will join students from all over the country this summer NYO’s 3-week residency outside of New York City, followed by performances at Tanglewood and Carnegie Hall, and a tour of Europe with a performance in Berlin with Dame Sarah Connolly, and continuing with concerts in Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Germany alongside Joyce DiDonato.
Concert Orchestra violinist Aidan Daniels and Philharmonic Orchestra bass trombonist Rafael Noriega were accepted into this year’s NYO-2 class. NYO-2 focuses on young musicians of color, and includes a residency this summer, followed by performances in Miami Beach and Carnegie Hall.
