Our fourth and final concert on the 2014 CYSO Tour of China was a huge success! Over 1,600 people attended the show at the beautiful Shanghai Oriental Art Center (lovingly called SHOAC).

The program for this concert included Long’s The Rhyme of Taigu, Stravinsky’s Symphony in Three Movements, Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra, and of course, Por Una Cabeza and the E.T. Flying Theme as encores.
The students did their final concert justice with another great performance.

At the end of the concert, the Chinese family members rushed to the stage to shower their CYSO musicians with flowers.

The crowd loved the performance and was rousing enough to receive not two, but three encores from Maestro Tinkham and the Symphony Orchestra.
The students finished performing the two encore pieces, only to receive continued applause. Maestro delighted the audience when he returned to the stage to conduct E.T. for a second time.
This concert was a truly fabulous end to a fabulous Tour of China!
